Art, technology and biomedicine at the Art Nouveau Site

Yoi Kawakubo’s exhibition Six Days After Forever will be opening on 11 March in the Operations Pavilion. The event is organized by Quo Artis in conjunction with the Barcelona Biomedical Research Institute (IRB Barcelona), with which it is partnering for the third time, and with the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site.

Six Days After Forever comprises a film that combines a fictional story with a documentary section made up of interviews with researchers of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Institute (IRB Barcelona) and historical clips related to discoveries of nuclear waste. It thus explores issues related to the ethics of genetic modification, the human risks imposed by nuclear radiation and the ontology of human identity, while also highlighting the patriarchal bias present in traditional narratives.

Quo Artis is an international non-profit organization that seeks to generate connections between art, science and technology, acting as a bridge between professionals in these fields. Among other initiatives, it directs the production of projects on request and conducts research related to art and science.
