A Contrallum

Pau Gil Hall
Sunday 25 March - 19:00

A Contrallum reviews the Catalan cançó movement, reinterpreting pieces by Lluís Llach, Joan Manel Serrat, Ovidi Montllor and Maria del Mar Bonet in a more modern jazz style.

The group was formed in 2016 with the idea of revisiting songs by Catalan composers and popular songs.

A Contrallum is pianist Mateu Peramiquel, drummer Gloria Maurel and singer Carolina Alabau. Trained at the ESMUC and the Taller de Músics, they have performed at various venues and events such as the 2017 Research Prize Awards at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.
