Festival Bachcelona at Sant Pau

The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site once again hosts the Bachcelona Festival, which is celebrating its 10th edition, after being awarded the City of Barcelona Music Award 2021 for the relevance of its programming and performers, one of its characteristic features that maintains this year.

The festival has scheduled four of its concerts at the Sala Domènech i Montaner. First of all, on July 4th, the acclaimed Italian cellist Mario Brunello will perform, with a piccolo cello, the first of the two sessions of Johann Sebastian Bach's complete sonatas and partitas that the festival will offer. The second session will be the next day at Sala Parés.

Encouraging young performers, on July 10th, six cellists will play Bach's six suites, presenting all this repertoire of the composer in one evening. This is a charity concert that will donate all the proceeds from the box office to the Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation, dedicated to children's cancer treatment.
