Musical spring at the Art Nouveau Site

Jazz, the sounds of the classical guitar and an innovative combination based on percussion and guitar are the concerts programmed at the Art Nouveau Site this spring.

The first date, on Sunday 15 April, is with the duo made up of violinist Apel·les Carod and guitarist Cristian Hernández, who’ll be bringing a free jazz approach to pieces from popular and classical repertories.

On 27 May, classical guitarist Manel Sánchez will be playing pieces by great composers such as Bach, Albéniz and Chopin, and Catalan authors like Francesc Tàrrega and Josep Pasqual.

This year’s Music Days cycle of concerts closes with the duo Ljubica Bukvic (guitar) & Yehosuá Escobedo (percussion) and their innovative proposal. They’ll be presenting the Sinergia project, a selection of contemporary pieces originally written for guitar, though in this performance percussion will take the lead, with their own arrangements. The concert will take place on Sunday 10 June.

Admission to the concerts is 10€ for the general public and 8€ for concessions (Friends of the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, members of the Club Vanguardia, Òmnium Cultural and Club TR3SC, and holders of the BCN Cultural card, the Xarxa de Biblioteques card, and RACC Màster).
